Drasphone: compact, foldable concept phone waiting for an OEM

Smartphones are now trying to be the biggest screen as users expect to do a lot of things on their mobile device and those tiny screens of yesteryears aren’t enough. But back in the day (which means a decade or so ago), flip phones and compact devices were the in thing. A new conceptual phone called
Drasphone wants to combine the best of both worlds and see if any of the OEMs will actually be brave enough to try out this unique smartphone design.
The Drasphone actually bends not just in one point, not even in two, but in three points so that it will only be as big as a swiss knife or a lighter when folded. But when opened up, it’s as big as a phablet. So if you need a full screen, then just unfold it to its full size. If you need it to be more compact so you can move around easily, then just fold it up like an accordion. The half fold is called a MiniDras, and it is a fully functional smartphone even by then. The full fold is a MicroDras, but of course this is more for keeping and moving, rather than using.

It looks a bit weird with all its hinges and folds, but on the user interface surface, there seems to be no interruption. The metal buttons and body look good, and the screen itself is able to sense finger force so that the sensors are behind the flexible surface and yet it doesn’t affect the touchscreen performance.
From the images, it looks like it has most of the basic smartphone functions like cameras, weather, email, notifications, etc. It even looks like it has dual front speakers. Now let’s see if any OEM will pick up the Drasphone conceptual smartphone.
