Sony confirms that it is working on PS4 Remote Play app for Windows and Mac devices

It was just a few days ago that we heard of a developer working on an unofficial Remote Play app for Windows devices. Looks like the developer’s efforts may go to waste as Sony has officially confirmed that it will be working on releasing own Remote Play app for
Windows and Mac devices.
Remote Play basically allows users to play or continue playing where they left off (from the PS4) on other devices.
Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the news to fans on Twitter, stating that Sony is listening to its fans and that it is working on Remote Play apps for Windows and Mac systems.

So far, the service was only available for the PlayStation Vita and some of Sony’s recent Android-powered smartphones and tablets. While some games can be easily run with smaller screens remotely, games that have advanced controls and more details do require a bigger screen, which is where the recently announced Remote Play for Windows and Mac comes in.
Indeed, now that official support will soon be available, many will skip on the unofficial app. For now there is no news about what Sony plans to do about the unofficial app called ‘Remote Play PC’ but upon noticing how quickly Sony sprung up to make the announcement, we could expect some action soon.
