After months of selling the OnePlus One on a invite-only basis, OnePlus has decided to make its popular device available to everyone for a 24-hour period, and its going to do so every Tuesday."Although we have an active and supportive fanbase, a lot of people have interest in the One but have told us that it’s just too difficult to buy," wrote OnePlus in an announcement today. "We believe that great things should be shared."
The OnePlus One will be available in both 16 GB Silk White and 64 GB Sandstone Black variants for 299 USD and 349 USD respectively, starting at 12:00 AM PST time every Tuesday. The invite system will remain in place for the rest of the week, however.
OnePlus is also celebrating 10 weeks of success in the Indian market with a one-day sale on February 10 where the OnePlus One will be available on Amazon.in without an invite.
OnePlus will of course be eager to capitalize on sales of the OnePlus One now as it edges closer to the unveiling of its successor, the already-confirmed OnePlus Two. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has already been drumming up excitement for the next handset, claiming that its size is going to "surprise" people.
