Unlike Google’s animated doodles, this one is quite simple, yet has managed to encompass the spirit of the game.
The doodle is made up of an image that shows an umpire, bowler, batmen, fielder and a wicket keeper. Each figure is shown in action and carries a letter of the word “Google.”
For instance, the umpire, who is signaling the fall of a wicket is shown in blue, along with the letter ‘G’ imprinted. Similarly, the letter “E” is imprinted on a wicket keeper in red shown close to the stumps and ready to take a wicket.
Today is the first day of World Cup, and it has opened with New Zealand facing off Sri Lanka. The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is tomorrow.
