Sony India has
introduced its SmartWatch 3 and SmartBand Talk for a price of Rs 19,990 and Rs
12,990 respectively in India. Both devices will come in black and will be available
at Sony Centers and major electronic stores across India.
As far as the specs are
concerned, the Sony SmartWatch 3 is powered by Android Wear and has a 1.6-inch
320×320 TFT LCD Transflective display for visibility in bright sunlight, set
within a stainless steel back. It has a Quad ARM A7 processor clocked at 1.2
GHz, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB eMMC storage.
The sensors on the list
are ambient light sensors, accelerometer, compass, gyro and GPS. It has
Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and supports micro USB charging. The SmartWatch 3 has a
420mAh, which according to Sony provides up to 2 days normal usage.
The SmartWatch 3 runs
Android Wear and is compatible with Android 4.3 and higher smartphones. Android
Wear allows users to get calls, messages, emails, directions via maps, etc.
Voice-based interaction is primary mode of interaction on the OS and it will
give users straight answers to spoken questions such as the number of calories
in a mango or the departure time for your flight or even the latest score in a
match when you can’t watch it live. With Android Wear, Google says fitness
apps will be able to deliver real-time data to your wrist, so you can decide
whether to step it up or slow down.
As far SmartBand Talk 3
is concerned it has a 1.4-inch E-ink display and users can monitor Lifelog
activity, view notifications and time. It supports Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB.
It has a 70 mAh battery capacity which can last up to three days worth of
usage.
The SmartBand Talk 3 is
optimised for devices running Android 4.4 and later and users will need to
download for LifeLog app and the SmartBand Talk 3 app on their phone as well.
The SmartBand Talk 3
allows for users to get handsfree calling, notifications such as messages. It
also detects when users have been running, walking and even when sleeping
and they can view their daily progress on the SmartBand Talk E Ink
display.
