Google Contacts is now receiving an update. The company has
released a preview of the new Google Contacts, which aims to simplify the service. The
service will bring together, all your contacts, circles, and most
frequently-contacted users in Gmail which will make it easy to find friends or
family members.
According to Gmail’s official blog, the new features
include integrated calendar and email interface that allows users
to see email exchanges and calendar appointments. It has also added a new
‘Find Duplicates’ feature, which eradicates all duplicate contacts and also
asks the user if they would like to merge them together.
“The new Google Contacts comes with a fresh look and feel,
and conveniently pools together all your contacts, circles, and the people you
talk to most in Gmail,” Google writes in their blog
post. The new update will now keep your contacts
up-to-date by pulling information from users’ Google+ profiles. This
feature makes it easy to stay well informed if a person has changed
job, city or so on. Also, when a user clicks on a contact, it brings up
the recent chat history, emails and meetings.
