Android Wear leak reveals new features; includes interactive and ‘Together’ watch faces

Google has been constantly updating its Android Wear and looks like the company is gearing up for another big update, dubbed Android Wear v1.3, which will offer some new features.

According to a report by Android Police, the latest Android Wear APK has some interesting features such as interactive watch faces, which allows users to change the look on the screen, pull up some information and send a message to friends with a few taps. Android Wear is also getting a new watch face option called Together. According to the report, this feature will allow two people to link together and communicate events through matched watch faces.
The teardown also explains the new Weather and Translate apps which will make its way to Android soon. The new Weather app is simply described as a ‘weather app with a 4-day forecast’. This native app aims to provide more extensive information and function. On the other hand, the new translate app will include an auto-rotation feature which allows two people to communicate to each other simply by looking at the same smartwatch screen, whilst standing in front of each other.

A new icon has also been added alongside the standard launcher icon. The report points out that it is related to Together, both for the “wc” prefix in the filename and the presence of the shadow-less head and shoulders that resembles the profile picture shown.
