Makerbase tells you who built what in tech

In the last few years, there have been immense technical advancements. Today, you will find an app or service for just about everything. While new innovations are out there, it is sometimes hard to find the brains behind them. This is what has possibly triggered Anil Dash and Gina Trapini to create Makerbase.

Makerbase is being described as the IMDb for the internet or LinkedIn for techies. So, if you are looking for a creator of a particular app or product, Makerbot will show all the creators for that particular product alongside other projects. This means, it will make finding similar products easy.
“Makerbase is for every project you created — even the ones that didn’t work out. List everyone who worked with you on projects, describe what they did, and reveal what tools you all used to get the job done,” the official website explains.
The podcast hosts help you find other projects your favorite hosts may be working on or even helped in the past. Besides, it will help you connect with other like-minded people.
“Using Makerbase this way turns it into a powerful networking tool. And since there’s no hierarchy or status structure underpinning the site, there are no boundaries keeping people from reaching out to one another. That means those that traditionally have difficulty breaking into the tech industry will finally have access to a hopefully more inclusive online community,” points out TheVerge.
