Sony has officially launched the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium in India at Rs 52,990 and Rs 62,990, respectively. The Xperia Z5 will be available starting 23 October while the Xperia Z5 Premium will be available starting 7 November in India.
While the Xperia Z5 is an update to the Xperia flagship line, the Xperia Z5 Premium takes things to the next level on the display front. The new Sony devices will compete with flagships from other companies such as the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, Nexus 6P, among others.
In terms of specifications, the Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution sporting the same design as its predecessor – the Xperia Z3+. The phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with the Adreno 430GPU and 3GB RAM.

On the camera front, one will find a 1/2.3 23MP Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Hybrid AF 0.03 sec , 5 x Clear Image Zoom, ISO 12800 Photo/3200 Video, SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode and 4K video recording.
The device runs Google Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and includes 32GB of on-board storage and can be further expanded up to 200GB. An interesting feature is the power button on the Xperia Z5, which also functions as a fingerprint sensor. A 2900 mAh battery completes the package and weighs 154 grams.
On the other hand, the Xperia Z5 Premium features a 5.5-inch 4K Triluminos display giving an impressive 806ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It includes an internal storage at 32GB which can be further expanded up to 200GB.
Running Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), the device features a 1/2.3 23 MP Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Hybrid AF 0.03 sec , 5 x Clear Image Zoom, ISO 12800 Photo/3200 Video, SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode and 4K video recording as well. A 3430 mAh battery completes the package and weighs 181 grams.
