Google Play Store cyber sale offers discounted apps, movies, music, and books

The Google Play Store is joining in on the cyber week sale madness, offering some tempting deals on a variety of digital content.
Click over to the Play Store to scroll through everything that is up for grabs. Some of the best deals are on entertainment, with Academy Award winner Her available for $7 and zombie thriller World War Z for $6. When you buy them they’re added to your Google account, and can be watched through the Play Movies Android or web apps, or watched with an Android TV device. With a Chromecast you can beam them to your TV.
A couple of interesting books are here, such as Anthony Bourdain’s Medium Raw ($2) and the New York Times bestseller Top Secret Twenty-One from Janet Evanovich ($3.50).
On the app front, Plex is a solid buy at $2, usually selling for $5. It organizes and streams media from your computer and also stream them via a Chromecast.
All of the games offered, like Real Racing 3, are already free but include a discount on the in-app purchases.
The impact on you: From time to time Google likes to run a fire sale in the Play Store. The days leading up to Black Friday seems to be as good of a time as any. It’s a great way to bulk up your digital content, since you may need something to do when all those annoying relatives show up.
