The Swiss maker of luxury watches
and all round envy of the timing world, Tag Heuer,
could be about to reveal their first Smartwatch at the CES 2015.
“Industry sources” have been speaking to Business Insider and they suggest that
Tag Heuer will debut its Intel-based gadget at the one of the biggest tech shows on the
electronics calendar, next year in Las Vegas. The company has recently
revealed it is working on a Smartwatch when the head of watch operations
informed a Swiss
newspaper back in September of this year. The device is set to
follow suit with the majority of Smartwatches that are currently available by
providing data on things such as steps taken, distance travelled and the amount
of calories burned.ean-Claude Biver, Head of watch operations, has said
it won’t just be an Apple Watch lookalike. That having been said, nobody knows
with any certainty just what this gadget is going to look like.Lots of other companies have tried to distance
themselves from the black rectangular look of most Smartwatches that are available.
A prime example of which is the Withings Activité. It is
worth noting that this is the first time one of the high end Swiss
manufacturers has been involved in the Smartwatch wave. One thing we do know is
that Smartwatches are definitely going to to be a massive part of wearable next
year and beyond. Apple have entered the race with their, no doubt,
future iconic time piece and Android Wear are currently gathering pace. I can;t
foresee Tag proving us with a bad piece of kit either. So it looks like to is
going to be a very interesting year indeedUnknown
